Valle Vista was built by Lennar Homes and offers a variety of floor plans with four to five bedrooms and living space that ranges between 3,640 to 4,025 square feet. The Capistrano Unified School District provides facilities like Wagon Wheel Elementary School, Las Flores Middle School, and Tesoro High School, all of which have the highest ratings. Private schools nearby include the Serra Catholic Schools and St. John’s Episcopal School. There are many colleges nearby including Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, and Laguna College or Art and Design in Laguna Beach.
Residents enjoy an outdoor lifestyle with the many recreational opportunities in Coto de Caza. The Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park offers 530 acres of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. It is also a nature preserve and has an educational center. For the athletic families the Coto Sports Park has four sports fields, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, tot lot, playground, and picnic area. This center also hosts many AYSO soccer matches.
The golf enthusiast and tennis player are in heaven with the Coto de Casa Golf & Racquet Club which offers ten courts and two Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed golf courses. This club has a fitness center, aquatic center, and dining facilities. Golf, tennis, and social memberships are available. The Coto Valley Community Club is also available with racquetball, tennis, and skating hockey rinks as well as a fitness club and swimming pool.
Coto de Caza is one of Orange County’s oldest private planned communities and covers around 5,000 acres of property. Its name means “game preserve” in Spanish and is considered one of the more affluent areas in the county. It is about 25 minutes from the Orange County Airport.
